August 6, 2022, SATURDAY, we are meeting IN-PERSON & Hybrid Zoom at the
Orange Family History Library at 674 S Yorba St, Orange, CA 92869 near the 55 freeway.
SPEAKER: CAGC Member Janice DeNardo has been doing Czech Republic genealogy for over 24 years. She has donated her time at the Orange FamilySearch Library for over 10 years helping others with their genealogy research and has become an expert in Eastern European genealogy.
Using FamilySearch.org today has changed. Searching for images (and accessing them) because with recent changes, there will never be an up-to-date FS catalog. We’ve talked about using images before, but we could all use a tutorial on their use…since it is not quite as easy as catalog searching. Additionally, the records searching has changed in last couple years, and you may not be filtering as efficiently as possible. We have asked to have an expert from the FS Library to do a program on all searching for records, whether for indexed ones or “Browse All”
August is normally our Brick Wall/Sharing meeting, so you can also bring items you need help with. Annette will be available before the meeting to help as well.
