Facilitator/Speaker: Mary ShadeHiring a Genealogy Researcher before it’s too late

CAGC Member Mary Shade has been doing Slovak genealogy for over 40 years. After a Salt Lake City library trip at the FEEFHS Eastern European conference in 2010, her research went into overdrive.

She finally hit the brickwalls, and after DNA testing, her mother became more interested in getting answers. It was time to hire a Slovak genealogist. Unfortunately, it took 2 years to “get organized”, and during those 2 years, 2 of my mother’s first cousins died. (it was too late). This meeting will review some of the issues and provide tips for hiring a genealogist.
